Employee Inspection

Earlier this spring, I hauled old manure from the pasture to the garden and piled it up for later use. As a bonus… Earthworms were in the decomposing pats! Tunneling and pooping is their job in our pasture, however, they are always welcome in the garden as well. Earthworms use manure as a food source; it’s part of their habitat. Now these earthworms will tunnel and poop throughout our garden which will improve the soil structure and increase nutrients such as nitrogen and calcium.
